RNA nucleotides will be covalently linked together as the RNA transcript is made. The RNA transcript (also known as pre-mRNA) will be completed when the RNA polymerase reaches the terminator region. After the RNA transcript is released from the RNA polymerase, it will undergo several steps of processing, one of which involves the removal of introns
