Well a recessive gene is a gene that is less common and is weaker in odds of someone to have. while a dominate gene is a gene that is more likely to be possessed and can over rule the recessive gene. if you have heard survival of the fittest. then that relates to this. the gene that is stronger (dominate) will win over the Recessive gene.)
