It is false because of the diseases from the meat

False but it depends on the order you cut them ... if you cut the vegetables first then its fine because if the meat does pick up any bacteria left from veges when you cook it, it will kill them but if you cut meat then vegetables the veges will pick up bacteria and is unsafe to eat unless you cook the veges too
