The tissue that has long narrow lacuna surrounded by long narrow fibers going all in the same direction is the spogny bone tissue. The spogny bone consists of an irregular lattice of thin columns of bone called trabeculae, which contains lamellae, osteocytes, lacunae and canaliculi. Thelacunae are sorrounded by long narrow fibers that go in the same direction. If you can see open spaces with tiny cells in them and are surrounded by layers of connective tissue, then they would be looking at hyaline connective tissue. Hyaline connective tissue is the tissue being observed. These are mostly found in the ribs, nose, larynx and the trachea.
