Compare and contrast the main characteristics of the alpine and taiga biomes.

The main difference between the two biomes is that the alpine biome is much colder than the taiga. The Alpine's summers are colder than the Taiga. Both, however can get dramatically below 0° C during the winter. Both, however have mountainous landscapes.
