Homeostasis refers to the body's way of keeping things the same or stable. In order for the body to thrive and function, a constant internal environment must be maintained. A body is said to be in homeostasis through different factors such as, maintaining normal body temperature (37°C) and normal amounts of water inside the body, and normal concentration of glucose and salts. If homeostasis is not achieved, it can lead to diseases or abnormalities.
