In a forest ecosystem, there may be fox, deer, owls, rabbits, mice, producers and decomposers. If a new time of carnivore (like a pack of coyote) entered into the food web, which population of organisms, may see an increase? (remember, you have producers, carnivores, herbivores, omnivores, and decomposers) Explain your answer.

    The group of animals that would most likely witness an increase would be most likely mice, why? Coyotes would most likely hunt down the deer, rabbits and foxes around the forest. For this reason there would be less foxes around which are the natural predators of mice. And because the coyotes would have enough food which would be gained from the other three (deer, rabbits and foxes) it would have no reason to hunt after mice.
