What are the distinguishing features of club mosses, whisk ferns, and horsetails? how are these plants different from ferns?

    There are many differences between these groups. Including the sporangia size and structure, type of spores produced, structure of the gametophyte generations, the way each generation lives, some are parasitic some aren't, the habitat. etc. It would require a detailed list of information. Try looking up basic characteristics of each group and making a table to compare them to the ferns. You could use: sporangia, gametes, sporophyte appearance, habitat etc.

    They are all vascular by the way, including ferns. The familiar mosses are not, they are Bryophyes which you have not asked about. The club mosses for example are Lycophytes, and very dissimilar to familiar moss.
