How does the temperature of water affect yeast's ability to perform respiration?

    if the temperature of water is too low (That is, the surrounding environment is too cold), the molecules would have less energy, thus slowing down their movement. This would cause less reactions within the yeast to take place, which would in turn, decrease the cellular respiration rate.

    If the temperature of water is too high (That is, the environment is too hot), then the enzymes within the yeast would start to denature. This would in turn halt the process of cellular respiration.

    In essence, it takes optimum temperature of water (at normal room temperature) y easts to produce the most cellular respiration.
