    By assuming that the allele that code for cystic fibrosis is Q (for dominant allele) and q (for the recessive allele), then chances of a child being born with cystic fibrosis would occur if both parents are cariers of the recessive allele. Through Mendelian law, the child has a 1:4 chances of inheriting the disorder.
