What occurs during translation but not during transcription?

    During transcription, mRNA is synthesised using single strand of DNA as a template by hydrogen bonding of complementary bases.

    During translation, an mRNA molecule and tRNA molecules bind to a ribosome. Codon-anticodon binding via hydrogen bonds occurs. Condensation of amino acids joined to adjacent tRNA molecules occurs and a polypeptide is formed.
