    Most livestock poisoning by plants often happens due to poor herd management. The poisoning is usually associated with lack of forage due to range conditions such as drought that leads to starvation, cold and other incidences that can influence an animal where it will eat too much of vegetation including those poisonous plants. Additionally, this could result to disruptive harvesting of livestock in rangeland and pastures, making it unprofitable.

    I believe the above statement is true. To be efficient and profitable, dairy operations require good, simple management protocols to be followed. Factors contributing to plant poisoning are starvation, accidental eating and browsing habits of animals that results from poor herd management. It is therefore important to ensure proper herd management to prevent losses that may arise from death of cattle from plants poisoning.
