Treatment of pancreatic cancer may include palliative surgery to bypass clogged areas in ducts or palliative radiation to shrink the tumor. But since the client decided to terminate these medical interventions, the nurse has nothing to anticipate but palliative medical care only. This is for the purpose of giving the patient some relief from pain only.
