Spot checks and hidden video cameras are successful and comparatively reasonably priced to implement at the start. The inconvenience is that spot checks and hidden video cameras may affect the confidence of the workers and furthermore, executing hidden cameras needs more workers to observe and monitor the camera output videos. The benefit of pay-for-performance schemes is that it may be easier for a manager can examine individual worker or a group of worker's performances, but pay-for-performance schemes are costly. Besides, when output is a function of group performance or its excellence is not easy to calculate, an individual's role to the output may not be recognizable.
