A cubicle culture (opposite to open workspace) represents a culture of control, well established hierarchy, and ultimately employee conformity.

On the other hand, an open workspace represents a creative culture where employees are empowered to communicate and collaborate with each other, ultimately leading to higher creativity. An open workspace enables the flow of ideas and personal communication, creates a bond between employees.
