An air-filled pipe is found to have successive harmonics at 1085 HzHz, 1395 HzHz, and 1705 HzHz. It is unknown whether harmonics below 1085 HzHz and above 1705 HzHz exist in the pipe. What is the length of the pipe

    the successive harmonic frequencies are,

    f = 1085Hz

    f¹ = 1395Hz

    f² = 1705Hz

    fundamental frequency = 2F = f¹ - f

    F = (f¹ - f) / 2

    F = (1395-1085) / 2

    F = 310/2

    =155Hz

    F = V/4L

    Where V = velocity of sound in air = 343m/s

    l=length of pipe

    L = V/4F

    =343 / (4 * 155)

    =343/620

    =0.553m
