You are buying bottles of orange juice at your local store the orange juice cost $2.50 but is currently on sale for two for four dollars you also have a store coupon for $.50 off and a manufacturers coupon for $.75 off what is your subtotal if you only buy one bottle of orange juice

    Subtotal=$1.25

    Explanation:

    Orange juice cost=$2.50

    Current offer but 2 bottles=4 dollars

    But you bought 1 bottle so the buy 2 for 4 dollars offer does not apply.

    Subtotal=$2.50-store coupons-manufacturer's coupon

    Subtotal=2.5-0.50-0.75=$1.25
