A command economy tends to exist under a dictatorship. With a dictatorship, it will be the one leader on the very top that will dictate how the country should be run. In a command economy, the production of goods will not be determined by the law of supply and demand but by the rule of the dictator. Also, the dictator will decide at what price certain goods have to be sold at. An example of a command economy would be Germany during the rule of Adolf Hitler.
