    International monetary fund is an America based international organization established to monitor and foster financial and economic development and cooperation among nations through policies advice, economic surveillance and training

    It is made up of three functions namely overseeing economic development, lending and capacity development.

    To achieve its aim, it also give loans to member nations who are going through economic crisis.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) says that it "an organization of 188 countries, working to foster global monetary cooperation, secure financial stability, facilitate international trade, promote high employment and sustainable economic growth, and reduce poverty around the world."
