The marginal utility of Diane's second Coke is greater than the marginal utility of her third Coke, other things constant.

    Explanation:

Law of marginal diminishing utility describe consumer's satisfaction that tend to decrease after consuming a same product several times.

For example, let's say that you're really thirsty.

When you open your refrigerator and drink your first can of coke, you will most likely receive the most amount of satisfaction due to your thrist.

Let's say that you decided to open another can of coke. The satisfaction for the second coke will be lesser compared to the first coke since you have lost the significant feeling of thirst after the first can.

If after that you decided to drink the third or fourth can of coke. You will most likely start to feel nauseated because you're drinking too much of it.
