How do societal expectations affect corporations and their ethical initiatives

    Inherently, corporations want to be seen as 'good' by the consumers since all of their profit and likelihood are controlled by the consumers.

    When these groups of consumers expected all corporations to conform to a certain societal expectations, eventually the corporations will have no choice but to obey them and transform their ethical initiatives to seek acceptance from the consumers.
