Let's take biomedical engineering and mcdonalds. McDonalds does not have that much work involved in it. Biomedical engineering on the other hand requires a four or six year degree in college and it has a lot of work involved. That is why McDonalds employees receive minimum wage, and biomedical engineers receive about 60-100 thousand dollars a year.
