If 7.25 kJ of heat is applied to a 980 gram block of metal and the temperature started at 25C and finished at 36 C. What is the specific heat of the metal in J/g C

    J=mc (t2-t1)

    7250=980C (36-25). Convert kj-j immediately so units make sense at the end.

    7250=10780C
