How does the ionic radius of a non-metal compare with its atomic radius?

    The Ionic radius of a non-metal is larger than its aomic radius as it obtains Ionic state by gaining an electron and in doing so there would be increased repulsion between the electrons that the nucleus cant cancel out resulting in increased radii.
