If 1 mole of HCl (aq) was reacted with 2 moles of NaOH (aq), the pH of the solution would be?

    HCl + NaOH - - - > NaCl + H₂O

    1 mol ... 1 mol

    1 mol of HCl + 1 mol of NaOH.

    We used 2 moles of NaOH. - - - > too much

    Limiting reactant: HCl

    Excess reactant NaOH - - - > pH of the solutnion would be base (pH>7)
