What happens to colored sugar when it is added to water?

    The sugar disappears into the water creating color

    The sugar dissolves and creates color. The atoms that make up each molecule stay together as a sucrose molecule, these whole sucrose molecules separate from one another. The molecule itself doesn't come apart
