    The isotope of uranium, uranium-235 is used as a nuclear fuel in the power plants. In a nuclear reactor, there should be a greater concentration of uranium-235 than the ordinary isotope of uranium - uranium-238. uranium-235 has 92 protons and a total of 143 neutrons.
