When it comes to Chemical bonds, it stretch out along a range between two theoretical limits, "ionic" and "Covalent" those are "ideal bonds". Actual chemical bonds have distinctiveness of both of the theoretical extremes (ionic and covalent). The percent ionic character is related to the electro negativity difference Î"EN.
