If we dissolve 36 grams of salt in 148 grams of water, what is the mass of the resulting solution?

    The answer to this question would be: 184 grams.

    The mass of a solution would be a sum of the solute and solvent of the solution. The solute might look like disappear but actually it was spread in the solution. In this case, 36gram of salt will be dissolved in 148 grams of water. Then the total mass of the solution would be: 36 grams + 148 grams = 184 grams.
