    I believe the answer is In an instant the car comes to a complete stop.

    The net force is calculated through:

    F = m x a

    m = mass

    a = Acceleration

    When the car came into a complete stop, the acceleration become 0

    Which means that

    F = m x a

    F = m x 0

    F = 0
