How does the substance change while energy is being added to the liquid at 20 degrees celsius?

    Temperature can be defined as the kinetic energy of a substance, wherein the energy is considered as the ability to do the work. As energy is added to a substance, the molecules will trigger the substance to move faster. The substance will be hotter than its actual temperature if it will be added to a liquid which has a temperature of 20 degrees Celsius.
