Only one asteroid by the name of 4 Vesta is visible to the naked eye because of its reflective surface. The maximum number of asteroids are found in the belt between Mars and Jupiter and so this belt has been given the name of asteroid belt. Under rare circumstances people on earth can see small asteroids passing near the earth.
