What is the difference between anthropocentrism and biocentric views of the environment

    Anthropocentrism vs. Thus, nothing in the environment is valuable for its own sake, but only for the benefit that it brings to humans. By contrast, biocentrism is the view that we have direct moral obligations to things in the environment for their own sake, irrespective of their impact on human interests.
