How does the intensity of radiation (as measured by Geiger counter vary as distance from the radiation source increases? (that is does intensity increase or decrease? is the graphed line straight or curved?) why might intensity change in this way as the distance is increased? (hint: think about how the density of emitted particles changes as a volume increases and about how those particles might interact with other particles in the air.)
