A person tells you that two organisms belong to the same family but to different classes. Can that information be correct?

    Taxonomy is how you can see how closely related or distinct two organisms are from each other. There is a hierarchy that describes this, in order from broad to narrow it's:

    Domain, Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, and Species
