Fluorine gas reacts with a solution of sodium bromide in a single-replacement producing aqueous sodium fluoride and bromine gas. If a reaction starts with 0.480 mol fluorine gas, how many moles of sodium fluoride are produced?

    To solve this question, you need to find the equation of the reaction. I assume that the equation look like this:

    2NaBr+F2 → 2NaF + Br 2

    In the equation, you can see that every 1 F2 molecule there used there will be 2 NaF (sodium fluoride) formed. So, the number of sodium fluoride produced would be: 0.480 mol * 2 = 0.96 moles
