    From this list, a) HCl is not a weak acid.

    Hydrochloric Acid, or HCl, is one of the most common examples of a strong acid. Strong acids dissociate completely in water to generate H⁺ and A⁻ ions. For HCl this reaction is as follows:

    HCl → H⁺ + Cl⁻

    Being more precise, for an acid to be called strong it needs to be stronger than hydronium ion (H₃O⁺) pKa < - 1.74.
