What is the mass number of the isotope of manganese (Mn) containing 28 neutrons?

    The mass number consists of protons and neutrons. Since the element is an isotope of manganese, it needs to have the same number of protons as manganese. So the mass number is no of protons + number of neutrons = 25 + 28 = 53
