The same reaction, with exactly the same amount of reactant, is conducted in a bomb calorimeter and in a coffee-cup calorimeter. In one measurement, qrxn=-13.4 kJ in the other qrxn=-11.0 kJ. Which value was obtained in the bomb calorimeter? (Assume that the reaction has a positive ΔV in the coffee-cup calorimeter.)

    Explanation:

    A bomb calorimeter is more accurate than a coffee cup calorimeter. It ensures that no work is done by the reaction as it's in an enclosed space. Instead all the work done is converted to heat, hence the values will be slightly higher compared to that of a coffee cup calorimeter
