    2.07L

    Explanation:

    Data obtained from the question include:

    T1 (initial temperature) = 27 °C = 27 + 273 = 300K

    V1 (initial volume) = 2.3 L

    T2 (final temperature) = - 3 °C = - 3 + 273 = 270K

    V2 (final volume) = ?

    Using V1/T1 = V2/T2, the final volume of the balloon can be obtained as follow:

    V1/T1 = V2/T2

    2.3/300 = V2/270

    Cross multiply to express in linear form.

    300 x V2 = 2.3 x 270

    Divide both side by 300

    V2 = (2.3 x 270) / 300

    V2 = 2.07L

    Therefore, the new volume of the balloon is 2.07L
