    Answer: Pyruvate dehydrogenase consists of three enzymes: - Pyruvate dehydrogenase, Dihydrolipoyl transacetylase, and Dihydrolipoyl dehydrogenase. The short distance between these enzymes allows channeling of substrates which minimizes the side reactions.
