Explanation: Elements in the periodic table are classified as either metals, non-metals and metalloids. Metalloids are elements that exhibits both metallic and non-metallic properties. Arsenic is an example of a metalloid. Metals form ions by losing electron (s) while non-metals form ions by gaining electron (s). Metalloids on the other hand reacts by either gaining or losing electron (s) a property which indicates both metalliic and non-metallic property.
