Describe how the periodic table of elements is organized

    The periodic table of elements is mainly organized by the atomic number of all the elements or the number of protons in an atoms core. So the periodic table is organized by increasing atomic number.

    Elements in the same group which are the vertical columns have the same number of valence electrons or the electrons in the outermost shell.
