How do forces between particles in solids compare to forces in the other states of matter?

    In liquids the particles are loosely packed and in gases it is very loosely packed.

    Explanation:

    The average kinetic energy of a particles is greater in gases to overcome the forces.

    In solids it is very less kinetic energy and it is very difficult to overcome the forces between the particles.

    Gases are less thick and solids are progressively thick.

    Hence the particles are in fixed position and it is tightly packed in a solid.
