Explanation:

Since the number of Oxygen atoms in a CO2 is doubled the number of Oxygen atoms in a CO. By the mass the weight of O2 atoms in CO2 must be twice the amount of the Oxygen mass in CO as well. So if 1 g Carbon atom of CO combine with 1.33g of Oxygen. Then that means 1 g Carbon atom of CO2 would combine with 1.33 * 2 = 2.66 g of Oxygen
