How many moles of aluminium are in 3.45 moles of pyrophyllite

    You can see that in each molecule of Al2Si4O10 (OH) 2 there are 2 atoms of Al

    so

    moles Al = 2 x moles Al2Si4O10 (OH) 2

    = 2 x 2.70 mol

    = 5.40 moles of Al
