    Salt is a compound resulting from a chemical reaction of acid and base in which hydrogen atoms in acid are replaced by metal atoms in base.

    Salt hydrolysis is a reaction is a reaction in which one of the ions from a salt reacts with water, forming either an acidic or basic solution

    Salt can be categorized as:

    1. Salt that form basic solution

    This results when a weak acid and strong base.

    2. Salt that form acidic solution

    This results when a strong acid and a weak base

    3. Salt that for neutral solution

    This results when a strong acid reacts with a strong base.
