The molar mass of ammonia carbonate

    (NH4) 2. C03

The atomic weight of Nitrogen is 14.01g/mol

The atomic weight of Hydrogen is 1.008g/mol

The atomic weight of Carbon is 12.01g/mol

The atomic weight of Oxygen is 16g/mol

    2 (14.01 + 1.008x4) + 12.01 + 16.0 * 3

    2 (14.01 + 4.032) + 12.01 + 48

    2 (18.042) + 60.01

    36.084 + 60.01 = 96.09g/mol = c

The molar mass of ammoniuncarbonate is 96.09 g/mol (Option C)

    Explanation:

    Step 1: Data given

    ammonium carbonate = (NH4) 2CO3

    Molar mass of N = 14 g/mol

    Molar mass of H = 1.01 g/mo

    Molar mass of C = 12 g/mol

    Molar mass of 0 = 16 g/mol

Step 2: Calculate molar mass of (NH4) 2CO3

    We have 2x N = 2*14 g/mol = 28 g/mol

    We have 8x H = 8*1.01 g/mol = 8.08 g/mol

    We have 1x C = 12.01 g/mol

    We have 3x O = 3 * 16 g/mol = 48 g/mol

    Molar mass of (NH4) 2CO3 = 28 + 8.08 + 12.01 + 48 = 96.09 g/mol

The molar mass of ammoniuncarbonate is 96.09 g/mol (Option C)
