Answer: hydrophilic head and hydrophobic tails

    Explanation:

A phospholipid consists of glycerol molecule, 2 fatty acids, and 1 phosphate group that is replaced by alcohol. In the phosphate group the polar head is negatively charged and hydrophilic in nature, whereas the fatty acid chain is nonpolar tails, that are hydrophobic. The tails are hydrophobic which face the inside and away from water.
