Express the equilibrium constant for the following reaction. P (g) + 3/2 Cl2 (g) ↔ PCl3 (g) K = [PCl3]^2/[P]^2[Cl2]^3K = [PCl3]/[P][Cl2]^3/2K = [P][Cl2]^3/2/[PCl3]K = [P]^1/2[Cl2]^1/3/[PCl3]^1/2K = [PCl3]^2/[P]2[Cl2]3

    K = [PCl3]/[Cl2]^3/2[P]

    Explanation:

    To get an expression for the equilibrium constant, we simply place the concentrations of both the reactants and the product in terms of square bracket and raise them to the power of their coefficients in the balanced equations.

    After doing this we place the expression of the product over that of the reactant.

    K = [PCl3]/[Cl2]^3/2[P]

    b) K = [PCl3] / [P][Cl2]∧ (3/2)

    Explanation:

    P (g) + 3/2 Cl2 (g) ↔ PCl3 (g)

    equlibrium constant (K):

    ⇒ K = [PCl3] / [P].[Cl2]∧ (3/2)
